COMMENTARY

0020: That's it for our coverage of deadline day. Full deals on the January transfers page, and there's a full round of Premier League fixtures this weekend, starting with leaders Wringley United at home to Grimd & Portlooville at 1230 GMT. A big game on Saturday evening too, as second placed Northern Red host third placed Poloka City at 1545. Champions League second legs on Tuesday and Wednesday, and there will be a live text commentary for the League Cup final between Southern Red and Northern Red next Sunday.

0011: It's been a busy day for Bludgers and Samtile, two clubs at the bottom of the Premier League table as they both get tow players to help them with their fight against relegation between now and April.

0006: Big deals today. Certainly a day filled with drama. Northern Red signed Pearce, before they turned down a huge £60m offer from Molscow Blues for Raul. WWFC managed to keep hold of Paolo despite a bid from Fortisca which they rejected.

0000: THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW HAS SHUT

2352: DONE DEAL
It's taken all day, but Crabbers City finally get a loan deal over the line for Maxi from CF Cordzola. He joins until the end of the season. Phil originally wanted to buy the player, however no fee was agreed therefore a loan was confirmed after much deliberation between both parties.

2347: Apparently, Crabbers United and Dynamo Blue didn't even have these deals in place a couple of hours ago. Now they've signed their targets and Crabbers City, who've been in talks nearly all day with CF Cordzola, still haven't confirmed the loan deal proposed for Maxi.

2341: DONE DEAL
Crabbers United confirm they have signed striker Marek on loan from Southern Red until the end of the season.

2330: Just half an hour remaining and all eyes are on Crabbers. Over to you City and United, can you complete your deals in time?

2316: DONE DEAL
There's one confirmed. Dynamo Blue, who lost Porter earlier in the day, capture FC Untouchables striker Colton for a fee of £1m. This was originally a loan deal, however they've surprised us with an official signing.

2300: Here we go, down to ONE HOUR in the transfer window.

2249: Right, we can reveal that Crabbers United are hoping to sign Marek on loan from Southern Red, and that Dynamo Blue are chasing striker Colton from FC Untouchables. Those deals may or may not go through before midnight, and Crabbers City have yet to officially confirm the loan signing of Maxi.

2228: Time to rewind right back to this morning as WWFC say they rejected a £23m bid from Fortisca for Paolo, which was rejected by the club. They also say the fee was set to increase if certain clauses were triggered, but that didn't matter as WWFC signalled their intent to keep their man.

2205: Not long to go now. Still potentially three deals to happen. Crabbers City edging closer to getting their man. As we understand, Crabbers United and Dynamo Blue are still some way off loaning their intended targets. So far away, in fact, that no deal has been agreed by either club yet.

2150: Samtile have been busy, then. Ertraf joined from Reds City on loan earlier today, and goalkeeper Iain has signed from Zerafa United. Still a couple of loan deals that may happen tonight. Crabbers City hoping to finally get this deal sorted for Maxi, whilst Crabbers United and Dynamo Blue are two clubs also hoping to complete loan signings before the end of the night.

2144: DONE DEAL
Goalkeeper Iain has signed for Samtile from Zerafa United for a fee of £750k.

2130: Big development in Crabbers City's attempts to sign Maxi. It is understood that after lengthy talks, the clubs couldn't agree a reasonable transfer fee for the player. However, a deal has been agreed for Maxi to join Phil's side on loan until the end of the season. It is believed that he is already in England ready to sign the final parts of the deal.

2121: Ricky spoke earlier in his pre-match press conference about today's goings on at Northern Red: "We are pleased to have Pearce here. I know him well and I have no doubts he'll settle in. In regards to Raul, he was our player before today and will be past the deadline. Simple as that."

2100: Time continues to tick, and there are just THREE HOURS to go before the midnight deadline. Still a few clubs working for potential deals, but nothing is looking promising at this stage of proceedings.

2042: WWFC fans may be able to relax a little now after that last deal, as it looks increasingly likely that Paolo will be staying with them. For now.

2039: DONE DEAL
It won't go on our transfers page as it doesn't involve a Premier League club, however Molscow Blues have captured their European striker by securing an £11m deal for Smotsk Alou striker Hiratiu.

2027: We have said this quite a bit today, but there are still a few deals that may or may not happen between now and the deadline. The major one that people have their eye on is Maxi to Crabbers City. Not many rate the chances of that happening very highly, though.

2011: Any rumours linking Gustavo with a move away from Crabbers United can now be forgotten, as he has signed a new contract with the club.

2005: Molscow Blues have made an offer for Smotsk Alou's highly rated striker Hiratiu. The Russian club have conceded it will be too difficult to sign a player from further afield in Europe, and have decided on poaching the player from his Ukrainian club.

1955: A few stories emerging from league leaders Wringley United. Apparently they attempted to bring in Gooshiale defender Archiambaud, but the French champions rejected. Wringley manager Blaise was hoping to sign the Frenchman from his old club. There were also a few rumours going around earlier today that Jordan - a keen admirer of Northern Red manager Ricky - could have been moving to a new club. Nothing came of either story, though.

1948: So, what's left? Quite a bit, actually. Crabbers City continue their chase for Maxi although a deal looks unlikely. Molscow Blues are still after a striker, and reports say Bayer Aufhausen's Reiner is on their radar. We have also heard links for Crabbers United midfielder Gustavo, who may be on his way to a club on the continent. Plus, today wouldn't be complete without another Paolo bid from somewhere, would it?

1935: Hillbeck boss Barry has briefly spoken at how pleased he is to welcome Porter back to the club: "It's a big lift for us to have a fans' favourite back here. Hopefully he will capture the form he had here before he left."

1924: DONE DEAL
That's the deal we've been waiting for since this afternoon - Porter completes a £5.5m move back to his former club Hillbeck United from Dynamo Blue.

1915: BPL Sport's Carl Hughes: "Bludgers have done well, not just today but in this window overall. They didn't get anyone at all last summer so it was vital they added to their squad this month, particularly with the relegation battle they have ahead of them. Pearce is a good signing for Northern Red, and Reds City will be hoping that new African player Chimelu will keep them solid in their quest for a top four spot."

1903: As we enter the final five hours of this transfer window, two deals are still to be confirmed that we are aware of. Porter's move is understood to be very close, however Crabbers City face an uphill challenge to bring in Maxi before the deadline.

1850: That's now seven deals confirmed by Premier League clubs so far today. Porter's move back to Hillbeck from Dynamo Blue is imminent, whilst Crabbers City are still looking at securing the services of Maxi from Argentinian side CF Cordzola.

1837: Blocheau did, of course, lose one of their options in attack earlier this month by letting Denzy out on loan to WWFC. On the flip size, Lopez's arrival at Poloka last week probably opened the door for Yeltz to leave the club. Blake was another striker to leave the Poloka Stadium this month, as he joined Crabbers City.

1832: DONE DEAL
Confirmed news coming from Poloka City, as they agree to sell striker Yeltz to Blocheau.

1816: Molscow Blues have made an official statement to say they haven't finished business today and are still looking at a deal for a striker from Europe. However, they did concede that a deal for Raul is now highly unlikely.

1800: Just SIX HOURS to go until the January transfer window slams shut at midnight. Crabbers City are still chasing Maxi; rumours about Paolo's future continue to speculate, and there are a few more deals possibly to come should the clubs be able to tie up the loose ends in time.

1754: DONE DEAL
Two deals in a matter of minutes as midfielder Leslie's transfer from Championship side Blue Star City to Bludgers is complete. They've been busy this month and over the last few days, a fee of £1.5m was agreed between the two clubs.

1741: DONE DEAL
Grimd & Portlooville have kept this deal close to their chest, but announce they have signed Southern Red defender Anton on loan until the end of the season.

1725: Still word around Italian press that Fortisca haven't totally given up on signing Paolo tonight. The five-time Champions League winners had a bid turned down for the striker this morning.

1710: Raul has trained with the Northern Red squad this afternoon following Molscow Blues' bid earlier. They take on Poloka City in the Premier League tomorrow.

1652: More to come throughout the rest of this evening on Molscow Blues' attempted signing of Raul. We are also hearing of a few more deals that are likely to be confirmed within the next few hours.

1630: BPL Sport's Carl Hughes: "That's a huge amount of money Molscow Blues have offered. I'm sure they can add a bit more on, too, but I honestly can't see Ricky selling at this stage of the transfer window."

1613: Wow. We expected them to be involved somewhere today the Russians, and they've certainly made their mark. Ricky has turned down the bid, but will they come back a second time?

1609: MOLSCOW BLUES' £60m RAUL BID REJECTED
Northern Red have turned down a staggering £60m for striker Raul from Molscow Blues.

1545: Reporters suggesting that Porter is at Hillbeck ahead of a proposed transfer back to his former club.

1524: Not too long before players up and down the country arrive for training. Porter is the player on Hillbeck fans' lips. Also, will Paolo be at WWFC this afternoon?

1502: Crabbers City are working hard to secure the transfer of midfielder Maxi from CF Cordzola. A deal is some way off yet and it's reported that progress between the two clubs is slow.

1435: DONE DEAL
Bludgers have signed Lesley on a free transfer.

1400: Ten hours remain in the transfer window, and there are still a few clubs hoping to wrap up deals. All of the Premier League outfits will be training later this afternoon, so maybe that might give us some indication as to who may be going where should anyone have absentees. One that will be watched closely will be whether Porter turns up at Dynamo Blue's training ground.

1336: Pearce joins on a three-year deal, but will be unavailable for tomorrow's crunch top of the table clash with Poloka City. He's also not registered to play in Europe against Wringley in midweek, so he could make his debut for the club in next Sunday's League Cup final against Southern Red.

1328: DONE DEAL
Ricky has completed the deal for Pearce from his former club FC Youngas.

1303: Still no word from Russia on Molscow Blues' potential striker capture. They were interested in Raul, but Paolo has probably been ruled out after Eric's recent comments.

1249: DONE DEAL
Another deal sorted, and again it involves Reds City. This time it's a player on his way out, as Ertraf has been allowed to go on loan to Samtile for the remainder of the season.

1218: More on the Paolo story, as WWFC manager Eric has publicly stated that he will turn down any offer that comes in for the striker.

1200: With twelve hours to go until the window closes, there's certainly a few things to get sorted out before the day's out. Paolo to move? Pearce to Northern Red? Porter back to Hillbeck? Any more transfer stories to emerge?

1147: It's certainly a day for players beginning with the letter P, as Porter is believed to be a target for his former employers Hillbeck United. Dynamo Blue find themselves in the relegation zone and might not be keen to sell, however Hillbeck have also seen a dip in form recently and want to bring their former man back to Beck View.

1130: Chimelu is the second African player to play in the Premier League. Reds City bought Kwame from the same club before they sold him to Wringley United in the summer.

1123: DONE DEAL
Our first deal of the day is complete, as Reds City bring in African defender/midfielder Chimelu for £4m.

1056: Another deal that we are keeping a close eye on today is that of Pearce to Northern Red. It is believed that Ricky has been in regular contact with his former club FC Youngas over a deal for the defender.

1030: No official word from WWFC on how much Fortisca offered for Paolo, but it is widely known that Eric is not up for selling his main striker. Reports that Molscow Blues could be tracking this deal, and that they may look to make an offer for the striker themselves.

1012: WWFC have confirmed that they have rejected a bid from Fortisca for striker Paolo. We thought the Italian giants might bid for last season's top scorer in the Premier League, and they have. We haven't heard the last of that.

0944: So, with that possibly happening today we could be in for an interesting one. No deals confirmed by anyone yet, but we have been made aware of a couple that could be completed shortly.

0925: ON THE CONTINENT
What can we expect from across Europe today? Well, Molscow Blues are hotly reported to be in for a European striker. Raul and Paolo have both been linked with the free-spending Russian club, so we could see something happen there. One Russian media source reported a few days ago that they could stump up a £100m plus bid for Xaraz's Narkis. Either way, even with the Russian transfer window not closing until late February, if they want a striker from Europe they need to get it all done before tonight's midnight deadline.

0912: WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN?
Quite a few deals could go through today as clubs aim to bolster their squads ahead of the end of season push. Northern Red boss Ricky stated last week that he wanted more defenders, and they have been heavily linked with Pearce at the manager's old club FC Youngas. WWFC have been busy this month and are still in the mix for another player or two, whilst Reds City, Crabbers City and Grimd & Portlooville could all do deals today. It's looking unlikely that we will see much spending by the teams at the bottom of the table, however loan deals are still a strong possibility.

0900: Transfer deadline day is upon us yet again. Fans wait for their clubs to bring in players from far and wide. Full updates on the day right here on this page.
